Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a “leadership PAC,” and how is it different from other forms of political action committees?

A: According to the Federal Election Commission, a “leadership PAC” is “a political committee that is directly or indirectly established, financed, maintained or controlled by a candidate or an individual holding federal office.” Unlike “super PACs,” which can accept unlimited contributions, “leadership PACs” can only accept up to $5,000 annually from specific individuals or other PACs.
